FAQ Norfolk RAM Rodeo - Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find an event schedule? Check out the full weekend schedule here. Note that the Friday night is the concert and vendors only. There is no rodeo performance Friday. Saturday and Sunday the main rodeo performance is at 2 pm, with an additional "bulls and barrels late show" Saturday starting around 7 pm.
Is there parking onsite? There is a limited amount of onsite parking. Additional parking is available at the field across the road. Reserved wheelchair parking is available for those with a wheelchair parking pass and families with young children- please tell us at the front gate. Parking is $5/ vehicle, paid onsite (cash only), with proceeds going to the 4-H and Jr Farmers clubs.
Is the event wheelchair accessible? Yes, the event is fully wheelchair (and stroller) accessible. There are wheelchair parking spaces and handicapped porta-potty units. Please be advised that there is some uneven ground throughout the event grounds.
Where can I get tickets? Advance tickets can be purchased online and in-person, beginning in May. In-person tickets can be purchased (cash only) at Demeyere Chrysler in Simcoe and Beachfront Barbershop in Port Dover. Advance ticket sales end Thursday July 14 at 5 PM. Tickets are also available at the door...but, to save $5 per ticket, and to guarantee access, buy in advance! Children 3 and under do not need a ticket.
Is my ticket good for both days? Tickets are good for one day each - they can be used for either Saturday OR Sunday. If you want to come for both days, you will need to purchase 2 tickets (or a weekend camping pass). The Friday night concert is a separate ticket.
When do doors open? Friday evening doors open at 5:30 PM. Doors open at 11 AM on both Saturday and Sunday. Please, no early birds - we need time to get everything ready for you! See the "event schedule" for details of what is happening when!
Is outside food/drink allowed? Yes. We do have a variety of food vendors who would be happy for your business, but we realize that kids like constant snacks, and some people are on specific diets. Please support our vendors, but feel free to bring your own drinks or snacks as needed. NO outside alcohol (except for campers in the designated camping area - no glass).
Where can I stay overnight? We are offering camping this year! There is a limited amount of onsite camping for trailers and tents. Please call ahead to reserve trailer spaces. Tenting spaces are FCFS. If you aren't the camping type, there are several hotels and motels in Delhi and Simcoe (both about a 10 minute drive).
Are dogs allowed? Yes. But, please be a responsible pet owner! Only bring your dog if they are friendly with other animals and with young children. Dogs must be kept on a leash at all times, and you must clean up after your pet.
I have a baby - where can I feed and/or change them? There will be a parenting station (compliments of Norfolk Roots Midwives), located in the vendor/picnic area. Or, feel free to find a picnic table or whatever works for you and your family!
My kids want to do the kids rodeo and/or sheep scramble. Do I need to register them? No, just show up! Both are included with admission, and happen in the main rodeo arena. Check the event schedule for times. Recommended ages are from 4-12, but no one is checking their ID!
Is there a beer garden? Yes, we have a bar! And, we are proud to serve up some of Norfolk County's local beers, wines and ciders.
You must be 19+ to buy or drink alcohol ... Please be prepared to show your I.D. Security will be onsite.
Is there live music? Yes! We will have live acoustic music in the vendor area both days, before the main rodeo performance and again during half time. After the main rodeo performance on Saturday, Old Twenty-Four band and then Genevieve Fisher will be performing on the main stage- plan to stick around awhile!
Friday night there will be a 7 pm Fred Eaglesmith concert, opened by "Julie and the Players" at 6 pm.
is your COVID policy? This event is 100% outdoors, so there is plenty of room
to space out if that is what you are most comfortable with. Please stay home if
you are feeling ill. There are NO mask or vaccine requirements.
